I'm taking part in Remember September, an initiative aimed at helping to raise much needed funds for pancreatic cancer research. Our sole benefactor is the Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation. They are the only foundation in Australia exclusively dedicated to pancreatic cancer. Their vision, via targeted investment in research opportunities, is - "To break through 40 years of no progress by doubling the number of people who survive Pancreatic Cancer by 2020".
As a participant in this challenge, I will give up all liquids except for pure water for the entire month of September. I will not be drinking beer, whisky, wine, coffee, or market-stall hand-pressed lemonade. I won't be drinking red bull, schnapps, vodka, tea or this coloured ginger ale stuff that I had the other day and was pretty excited about getting stuck into again. I'm not even 100% sure I'm allowed to eat particularly juicy pieces of fruit.
In exchange for my deeply beige diet, I ask that you donate - $1, $10, or whatever you can. Thank you for your support, and let's help some good people beat cancer.

PanKind Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation Limited
Pankind’s mission is to triple the pancreatic cancer survival rate by 2030 and significantly improve the quality of life for those impacted by the disease.
Together with our partners and community, we’re confronting pancreatic cancer head-on. Making progress a reality through groundbreaking research, compassionate support, and tireless advocacy. Because when the stakes are this high, action isn’t just important—it’s essential and urgent.
Pancreatic cancer is the toughest common cancer, and for too long, progress has lagged behind. Survival rates have barely improved in decades, leaving people diagnosed feeling overwhelmed and uncertain. We’re determined to change this. We are the only Australian organisation solely dedicated to improving outcomes for those affected by pancreatic cancer.
